Tenses

Tenses adalah bentuk kata kerja dalam bahasa Inggris untuk menunjukan waktu (masa lalu,sekarang, atau masa depan) gterjadinya suatu peristiwa atau perbuatan.

Macam-macam Tenses :

1. Present Continuous Tense (Sedang Terjadi) is used to describe something happening at this time. The action is in progress. It hasn't finished yet.
(+) S + to be + Ving
example :
- I am doing my assignment right now, I can't go with you
- George is having breakfast at the restaurant
- They are jogging together
(-)  S + to be not + Ving
example :
- I am not doing my assignment right now, I can't go with you
- George is not having breakfast at the restaurant
- They are not jogging together
(?) (5W+1H) to be + S +Ving ?
example :
-
- Is George having breakfast at the restaurant?
-  are They jogging together ?

Some verbs are not normally used in the present continuous tense (or in any other continuous tense). These verbs are not action. these Include: know,remember, hate,understand,suppose, belong.
The Present Continuous Tense - the ING From of the verbs
1. Ussually we add ing
work working
stand standing
learn leraning
2. When the verbs ends in an e, we drop the e and add ing
come coming
have having
write writing
3. If verbs ends is consonant (p,t,r) , we double consonant.
example :
- swim swimming
- Get Getting
-Stop stoppinng
